Procedure – Steps:
- Registration Fee.
- Ph.D Entrance test fee. (Selection on merit base with a research proposal – interest letter)
- Result Declaration.
- Qualified Scholars called for the Induction, Interview and Document Verification.
- Registration for pre Ph.D. induction and course work.
- Course work class conducted as per schedule.
- Course work examination.
- Result declaration of course work.
- Submission of synopsis. ( soft copy and 1 hard copy of synopsis )
- Departmental Research Committee meeting scheduled by University.
- Registration and RDC letter will be issued.
- Research work started by scholars as per Researcher Development Framework(RDF).
- 5 Progress reports (each 6 months interval) will be submitted.
- Soft copy of thesis submitted to :- The Dean, Research – EU.
- Plagiarism report checked by University.
- A Soft copy of the corrected thesis will be sent to experts for evaluation.
- After taking consent of experts, for pre-submission one set spiral binding of thesis will be submitted.
- After successful presentation of pre-submission, 2 copies of hard binding of thesis must be submitted.
- Ph.D viva voce examination / thesis defence must be conducted as per schedule of University.
- Final Degree Awarded.
Research proposal: Applications for the Ph.D programs are welcomed from qualified candidates wishing to undertake research on a specific topic within one of the Institute’s broad research areas.
It is assumed that before submitting an application for entry to the PhD program, applicants will have done some preparatory work on the proposed topic of study. Admission will depend on the quality of the applicant’s research proposal and its relevance to the Institute’s research interests. Applicants are required to submit a research proposal of approximately 5,000 words which incorporates:
- a statement of the research issue, setting out the temporal, geographic and conceptual limits of the work
- the potential contribution of the research to theory and/or policy making
- a concise formulation of the research issues
- a brief review of the theoretical background and the main analytical approaches to be followed
- a specification of the main expected methods of data collection and processing
- proposed table of contents for the thesis
- references and bibliography.
